CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER DOES?

From sorting and filing your important paper documents to decluttering your closet and organizing your clothes, a professional organizer can make every aspect of your life easier and more efficient. Professional organizers can help you save time, money, and stress during your day by helping you be more productive and efficient. Your home will be neater and easier to maintain when all your possessions are easily accessible. This saves you time searching for lost items, money from accidental purchases of duplicates, and stress from worrying about managing them all.  

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE ORDERLY METHOD AND OTHER ORGANIZING BUSINESSES?

The Orderly Method offers all-inclusive organizing services. I organize your home, shop for supplies, create an individual design plan for your home, facilitate contact with other service providers, donate unwanted items, and stay in touch once the project is completed. When working with me, I strive to provide you with a confidential and judgment-free environment.

IS IT NECESSARY FOR ME TO BE HOME WHILE YOU ORGANIZE?

It's completely up to you. It is preferable for some clients to be available on-site for questions. Other clients give me a key so I can carry out the task while they are away from home or at work. Decluttering your items is part of what I can do for you, but you must be available (or someone you've designated as your stand-in) for that part. You can step away while I finish the job once we have gotten rid of everything you don't need or want.

IS IT NECESSARY FOR ME TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE SESSION?

Your home's size, what kind of space you want organized, and how much decluttering you want will determine how many sessions you need. My estimation of the number of sessions needed for your project can be more accurate after we walk through the space together and I understand your organizing goals. There is no charge for the initial in-home consultation.

DO I NEED TO GET RID OF EVERYTHING?

Not at all. Creating organized spaces for all of your belongings is my goal; de-cluttering is an imperative step in that process. It is likely that we will find items that no longer serve you during the course of the project. If these items need to be donated, sold or disposed of, we will work together to determine what needs to be done. You will never find me removing anything without your permission.

CAN YOU PROVIDE ME WITH BINS AND BASKETS FOR MY SPACE?

Any containers you already own are welcome to be used. The best results come from selecting baskets, bins, and dividers based on how well they maximize your space.

I won't charge you extra for the time I spend researching and shopping for you. You can choose from the items I purchase, charges are only applied to the items you keep. It would be helpful if we discussed your aesthetic preferences and budget before making any purchases.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?

At the moment, I only offer services to Seattle and the metropolitan area. As my business grows I hope to be able to serve more of Washington state.
